He also sent us video tutorials to watch for a better understanding.

  1. Start by creating a composition in Photoshop or Illustrator
  2. Import to After Effects

  5. Parent the different layers to the null object
  6. Parent null object to the camera

WEEK 7

_______________
Lecture Recap

Today, we learned about the file linking from one software to another. This is important since After Effects is really bad at handling sounds so it's best to import the finished edits into Premiere Pro for that last edit.
  • Make the background transparent
  • Render the file
  • Export in MOV
  • Import to Premiere Pro

WEEK 9

_______________
Lecture Recap

This week he taught us about storyboarding our animation and animatics. He gave us videos to watch to get a better understanding of what he was teaching as well.

He told us that storyboarding & making an animatic is a good way to see if the composition you had in mind connects with the audio or message you want to relay.

WEEK 10

_______________
Lecture Recap

For this week, he gave us a video tutorial on how to attach or track objects to the walls of the composition.
