Project 2A & 2B - Production Shooting & Tiktok/Insta Video
Production Shooting:
"This assignment aims to explore students' production shooting and editing environment. Project 2 consist of 2 x Shooting & Editing exercise (Shooting: Group; Editing: Individual)."
TikTok/Insta Video:
Create a self-titled video with Tiktok/Instagram aspects; showcase who/what you are/want within the video
____________
Process [Production Shooting]
Since we were already grouped up with Mr Martin's choosing, we decided to head out and pick out our roles.

We then decided to create a Google Doc to create a storyboard for where each scene is going to be recorded and how long each scene may take

When the date came, we filmed the entire thing during class time and had to edit it ourselves when we got back home. Mr Martin said that we could do whatever trailer we wanted so I decided to go for a Romcom trailer instead of the usual storyboard.

____________
Process [Tiktok/Insta Video]
Using the PowerPoint Mr Martin provided as a draft, I start off by writing out what I want to showcase
in my self-titled video.

After that, I made a mood board on Pinterest to gain inspiration and used YouTube shorts by Anthpo as a visual reference for how I wanted my video to look.

Once I was done with gathering my research, I went ahead with drawing up a storyboard that I wanted to follow when I was filming.

With the storyboard done, I went ahead with recording during week 7 since I needed a lecturer, which happened to be Mr Vinod, within my video and week 8 will be independent learning week meaning that the lecturers won't be in school. Afterwards, I edited the video during independent learning week.

REFLECTION
I was a bit frustrated but overall satisfied with this project because I was able to showcase my animation prowess by creating it within stop motion. Although it was quite different from the usual digital animations I made, the fundamentals of it can still be applied throughout the filming process when I was creating it. Moreover, I am quite happy with the results that my teammate and I produced because the entire process was gruelling but fun as we brainstormed, created the storyboard & edited the whole thing together; even though I did the stop motion myself while my teammate took the editing part of the project.
