_______________
Final Project: Single Page Lifestyle Microsite
"In this assignment, you have the creative freedom to design and develop a single page microsite centered around the theme of lifestyle. Your goal is to craft an immersive and visually
appealing microsite that effectively communicates the chosen lifestyle theme and engages users through thoughtful design and interactive elements."

____________
Research & Process

We were briefed about this project during week 8, Mr Sham told us what we needed to do during the first few weeks of the assignment to keep us on track with the module deadline.

Using the plan that Mr Sham gave us, I started by finding an artist that I wanted to create a website of, I decided that RM from BTS would be a good person to write about because I've been a long time fan of his works and how he lives his life; making this an ample chance to do something for the artist I like a lot.

Once I was done with finding the artist, I went ahead with creating a moodboard with what I know and what can contribute to the microsite that I will be making for him.

Once I was done with creating the mood board, I went ahead with sketching up the 25 sketches for the low-fidelity prototype to show him.

I tried my best to keep it as simple as possible and Mr Sham gave us some references to look at and with the help of references, I finalised on an idea.

The finalised idea consists of:
  • Green & neutral colour palette to show his love for nature.
  • Minimalistic layout to show his direct approach when addressing heavy topics.
  • Blocky & rounded fonts to show his stature as well as his personality being very calm and gentle.

Once I was done with finalising the prototype, I went ahead with sketching and digitising the logo for the website since that was required within the brief. The theme was around nature so I used his name as a base and added vines to simulate that they're growing and encasing him with it.

During the digitising stage, when I added the vines, it would cover the letters, therefore I had to compromise and made the letters into the vine itself.

After the digitising the logo, I went into writing the HTML and CSS code for the website.

REFLECTION

This task was the most difficult because I didn't really know how to create a microsite that is for one of my favourite artists, there were doubts whenever I made a section that I thought would look nice but didn't turn out well, but I pushed on and made it work like how I had intended it to. Mr Sham was also telling us to make our websites as simple as possible because professional websites don't have clutter and just want to be direct for all audiences; using this as my reference, I was able to create a much more simplistic website that can cater towards all audiences. After creating the website, I was quite proud of my achievements because I was able to create a website that can look professional in the span of a few weeks.
