[WEEK 10] Self-tilted (Research)
We were briefed about the final project and the summary of the project is that we have to
I used the sample portfolio from name to start with what kind of questions I wanted to ask myself and I came up with the concept of indecisiveness.
I went to Pinterest to find some ideas of what I wanted and I went ahead and chose 3 types of photography that gave me enough inspiration to work out my sketches. All of them portray contrast in different ways and I want to capitalise on that concept as my own.

[WEEK 11] Self-tilted (Sketches & Digitisation)
After the research, I sketched out some ideas where the photography has either 2 or more sides of emotions, which portrays what I had researched and wanted to achieve. I mostly went with ideas 2 and 3 for my inspiration.

Both sketches play into the happy and sad trope when it comes to indecisiveness and how it differs, where each side has its own way of being portrayed, like how the happy side shows me being put together.
Once I had gotten feedback from Mr Fauzi, he said that maybe using the 2nd sketch, I would be able to fuse if not have myself in the middle to create a focal point for the viewers as well as tell a better story. I also went to take photos in the studio at our school as Mr Fauzi said that Mr Martin would be happy to help out with that process.

After taking the photos, I went back home and did the digital poster. I used double exposure to create this poster as I thought it would look good as well as line up with what I had in mind when it comes to emotions making up different forms to create that indecision. I had also left the idea of fusing to create a subject in the middle and did the opposite of having the person in the middle shoot out different emotions as all emotions have to come from a singular person.

Title:
The Sides of Indecision
Explanation:
I want to demonstrate that there will always be opposing viewpoints when it comes to the goals that individuals pursue and that there will always be a voice in your head asking, "Are you really sure that this is what you want now? And then there's the part of your brain that will always tell you, "I want to do this." The key is basically to be indecisive. I want to exploit that indecisiveness and make it a feeling that is okay by today’s societal standards. It's acceptable to occasionally let your doubts hold you back and that the person in the middle, yourself, will always be the person to hold you down and stand strong throughout everything.

Self-tilted (Animation process & Final)
Once I was finished with my final poster, Mr Fauzi gave me the thumbs up to move on to the next phase of the self-tilted process which is the animated poster.
I learned how to use the keyframes from Week 10's After Effects practice and used the best of my ability to make an animation that I liked. I also had to search on youtube on how to create some of the effects like the smoke and flying dust particles because I didn't know you were able to download different effects of the web and apply them in After Effects.

The idea was similar to my description of the digital poster where I want my emotions to come out and show themselves while the person in the middle stays still as to show that the only person to not break apart is myself.

REFLECTION
It's finally the end of the semester and I thought this module was very fun! Even if there were ups and downs when it comes to working with a completely new program and being in an unfamiliar environment, I was able to have a good time because of the friends I made as well as my lecturer, Mr Fauzi, being a really chill and relaxing guy to talk to. He was able to help me improve my skills within photoshop with his helpful tips and video tutorials! I would say that if anyone wants to pursue photo editting and video animations within photoshop, this module is a good place to start because of how it's conducted as well as the nice students and atmosphere that the lecturer gives.
